On June 1, 2020, at 12:27 a.m., deputies responded to Star Liquor, located at 3847 301 Highway South in Riverview, where a burglary had taken place. The front entrance door was shattered, liquor bottles lay broken on the floor, and several more were missing. After evaluating the scene with the liquor store owner, detectives learned more than $8000.00 in alcohol had been stolen. Surveillance video from inside the store led deputies to identify Lawrencia Dixon, 19, as one of the suspects. An arrest warrant was issued and Dixon was arrested at her residence on Grenadine Drive on June 2, 2020. Detectives found four bottles of Ciroc Vodka in Dixon’s kitchen cabinet. In the surveillance video, Dixon can be clearly observed taking the same brand of alcohol off store shelves. Dixon told deputies she met the other individuals involved in the burglary at a protest. She also sold some of the stolen alcohol through social media. Surveillance video shows several women gathering in front of the store and breaking into it. Anyone who recognizes any of the women is urged to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
